Kristina Dawson, LMHC, LPC, QS
Hi, I’m Kristina! If you’re here, chances are you’re carrying a lot—maybe it’s the grip of an eating disorder, the invisible demands of motherhood, or the pressure to hold it all together when inside you’re exhausted. I want you to know you don’t have to go through this alone.
For years, I’ve walked alongside women facing eating disorders, anxiety, and big life transitions. I’ve worked at every level of care—from residential treatment to outpatient therapy—and I understand just how overwhelming recovery can feel. In therapy, my role isn’t to “fix” you, but to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and able to move at your own pace.
My strengths-based approach blends evidence-based tools with a lot of humanity. I draw from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, relational therapy, and DBT skills—but more than anything, I focus on building a relationship where you feel safe, seen, and encouraged. I also bring lived experience to this work both personally and as someone who has loved a family member through an eating disorder. Because of that, I “get it” in a way that goes beyond textbooks and trainings.
I also have special training in perinatal mental health and am pursuing certification in that area, so I support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the identity shifts of motherhood. Whether you’re in the trenches of recovery or adjusting to a new season of life, I’m here to help you find steadiness and self-compassion.
Outside of my work, I’m a proud mom of two little ones, a big fan of true crime podcasts and always on the hunt for a new coffee shop to try! I’ll admit I’m also a sucker for reality TV dating shows - anybody else waiting for the newest season of Love is Blind??
At the heart of it all, I believe healing is possible. My hope is that therapy with me feels like having a steady guide by your side as you reconnect with the version of you that feels grounded, confident, and enough.
